4-1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. butter, beat for 30 seconds
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

3 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon (to roll cookies in)

Directions:

Mix together the dry ingredients, first 4 ingredients

Cream the butter, sugar,eggs, then add milk and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.

Form dough into 1" balls. Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Put on greased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Press lightly with the bottom of a glass.

Bake approximately 10 minutes at 375º when cookies start to "crinkle" on top.

I usually mix up the dough and put it in the fridge so it's not too sticky to roll the cookie balls.
I also remove from the baking sheet as soon as I take them out of the oven. I want them to stop baking and remain soft.
