1 lb. VERY lean ground beef
ground onion to taste
mustard
salt
pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Sliced Cheese
1 package Pepperidge Farm pastry sheets, 1 sheet at room temperature
1 egg (yolk used to brush on top of pastry before putting into the oven)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Place the ground beef in a bowl. Sprinkle with some salt, pepper, mustard, onions and a small amount of Worcestershire sauce. Roll into small sausages.

Roll out the pastry sheet and cut into rectangles to the size where sausages can be wrapped. Place the sausage on top of the rectangle. Add cheese if desired. Enclose sausage with the pastry and seal the edges. Use water if edges do not seal. Place on cookie sheet. Brush top with egg yolk. Bake until done anywhere from 15 - 25 minutes.

Swiss recipe - pronounced "wurstwecken". I never had exact measurements for the onions, mustard, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Grandma would just add/sprinkle a bit of each on top of the lean ground beef.
