1½ cups flour
1 tbs. baking powder
¾ tsp. salt
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup uncooked oats
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 425º.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles
coarse crumbs. Stir in oats, add milk,
stirring lightly until dry ingredients are
moistened (if necessary add a little more
milk to make a soft dough).
Turn on lightly floured board. Knead gently a few
seconds. Roll to ½ inch thickness.
Cut with 2½" round cutter. Place close together
on greased sheet. Brush tops with milk.
Bake 12 - 5 minutes.
