Butt end half ham

Directions:

Wrap ham in foil and place in baking pan. Bake 12 minutes per pound at 325°F. Leave in oven until oven cools down to continue baking.

OK, I know this is a silly recipe. I'm only including it for fear I'll lose my little note telling me the time and temperature to bake a ham; sometimes the directions on the wrapper are different and this is what Mother said! She always baked her ham at night and left it in the oven until morning; I don't think she ever had one that wasn't perfect, so that's what I do, too! I did learn by experience you can't do this with a spiral-sliced ham because they're fully cooked and they get overdone this way!
