3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup quick oats

Directions:
Layer the ingredients in the order listed in a 1 quart Mason jar. After putting the lid on, add a circular piece of fabric to the top. Tie with a tag that reads:

1 stick butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add all dry ingredients and stir well. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Great gift idea. Chocolate chips may be substituted with raisins, chocolate covered raisins or baking M&Ms.
