1/4 cup butter
2-3 Tbsp. flour
2-3 cups milk
pinch of nutmeg
salt & pepper to taste
ham cubes
1 can of mushrooms (optional)
cooked chicken
bag of egg noodles (cooked)
shredded cheese
bread crumbs or Ritz crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a large Pyrex dish for the casserole. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour. When this is a paste, gradually add milk until mixture thickens. Add nutmeg, salt and pepper. Add ham and mushrooms.

Cut up the chicken into bite size pieces.

Layer half of the noodles on the bottom of the Pyrex dish. Put cooked chicken on top. Pour 1/2 of the sauce on top. Repeat noodles and sauce mixture. Bake for 45 minutes or until casserole is hot.

In a saucepan, melt a tablespoon or two of butter. Add crumbled Ritz crackers and mix to coat crackers. Top casserole with cheese and crumbled, toasted Ritz crackers. Return to oven until cheese is melted.
