3 C. Sugar
1 C. Milk
10 Cherries, Chopped
1 Package Pitted Dates, Chopped
1 C. Nuts, chopped
2 T. Water

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, milk & dates to soft ball stage. Add cherries & butter. Allow to cool. Beat until thick. Add nuts. Pour onto a damp cloth and shape into a roll.

I remember my Dad (Ronnie Goss) helping Grandma (Blanche Lyle) make this recipe because the mixture was too thick for her to stir together by herself. Making this recipe was a tradition between the two of them.
