1 lb ground chuck
1 small onion diced
1 bouillon cube
garlic salt or powder
pepper

Cook beef on low heat until browned. Drain. Add onion, salt and pepper. Add water and bouillon cube. Simmer 1 to 2 hours. Most of he liquid will be steamed off. Serve on buns.

From Kathy Wisniewski: My mom Charlotte cooked a version of this, but since my dad didn't eat onions she left that out and used onion powder. Instead of the bouillon cube she used ketchup and some brown sugar.
