2 C. plain flour
½ t. salt
4 t. (level) baking powder
1 egg
Less than 1 C. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Break egg into measuring cup; beat lightly and fill with milk. Add to dry ingredients and mix. Let rise for 5 minutes. Drop batter on top of boiling stew meat or chicken. Leave meat in kettle. Cover and boil for 20 minutes on low heat. (Just as good warmed over in broth the next day.)
