1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. salad oil
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp.baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring (optional)
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
1/4 c.flour (additional)

TOPPING:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
1 T. butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and brown sugar. Add egg, vanilla, almond flavoring and sour mil. Add sifted flour, salt and baking soda. Stir in rhubarb and nuts (that have been mixed in last 1/4 cup flour); mix well. Pout into 2 greased floured pans. Add topping. Bake at 350ºfor 40 minutes. Cool one minute in pan then remove.
