2 sticks butter
1 cup veg. oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
4 cups plain flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
2 cups chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. In large bowl, cream together butter, oil and both sugars until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and slowly stir into the wet mixture, then add pecans. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, about 2" apart. Bake for 10-12 min.
