1 pkg. (2 1/4 tsp.) yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cool milk to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in a bit of cooled milk. Add to rest of the milk, shortening, sugar, eggs, salt, yeast mixture and 1 cup of the flour. Beat well with electric mixer. Stir in rest of flour. Dough will be very soft. Cover and let rise until double in size. Divide dough in half and roll out on to a floured surface into a 12 inch circle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 16 pie shaped wedges. Roll up, starting with the wide end. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with the other half. Let rise and bake at 350º to 400º for 15 minutes.
