Ingredients:
You need
loaves of regular wonder bread
Philly cream cheese (regular stuff, not whipped or flavored, just the
block of it)
Center-cut bacon

Directions:

Here is how you make them, and this may help determine the bacon/bread ratio

Preheat Oven to 350.

Heat a block of cream cheese in the microwave until soft and
spreadable, but not liquefied. Doesn't take very long. Object is that
it's soft enough that it won't tear bread when spread on it. Take a
slice of bread and spread CC on one side of it in a substantial layer
(can no longer see bread texture, don't glob it on, but don't skimp).
Then, take pizza cutter and cut off crust and then cut bread slice
into three strips. Cut entire pkg of bacon in half, then take one of
the halved slices and layer on bread/CC creation. Roll and secure with
good quality round toothpick (the flat ones suck). Place on cookie
sheet that has sides (you don't want all this grease causing an oven
inferno). Lather, rinse, repeat. We have found that a team
effort/assembly line really pays off. One person (usually me) spreads
the CC and cuts bread, other person rolls, toothpicks, and places. If
you need to take them somewhere pre-cooked it works well to put them
toothpick up and stretch plastic wrap over them. Keeps them nicely in
place.

You can crowd them in the pan, I don't think there's a good reason not
to. Once you bake them go for something like 15 min. at 350*. Could be
20, just look at 'em and see if the bacon is done. At the end it's
nice to broil for a couple minutes just to put a final crisp on 'em.
The toothpicks won't like this much so keep an eye on it.

So bacon/bread ratio is probably something like 1-1/2 full bacon slice
per one slice bread. 2-3 blocks of cream cheese per cookie sheet full
(which is what we used to bring to the party).

There is a reason these are called Bacon-Crack appetizers. They are addicting!
