2 Large Bunches Collard Greens or 2 - 2 Lb. Bags Collard Greens
2 Ham Hocks or 2 Large Slices Ham
2 Quarts Cold Water
3 Tbsp. Crisco Oil
2 Tbsp. Coarse Ground Black Pepper
1-2 Tbsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
1 Tsp. Granulated Sugar (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Place water, ham hocks, oil, salt, pepper, and sugar in a large pot and boil for approximately 20 minutes. Add chopped/sliced collard greens and cook for approximately 60 minutes, or until desired tenderness is achieved, while stirring every 5 minutes.
