1 1/2 c. coursely chopped almonds
16 oz. lt brown sugar
1 lb butter
24 oz milk chic chips

Directions:
Directions:
1) sprinkle 3/4 c. coursely chopped almonds onto bottom of 18x13 inch cookie sheet. set aside
2) ub a 2 qt pan, combine sugar and butter ove med heat while stirring frequently for several minutes until bubbly and thick. Use a candy thermometer and cook until 290 degrees. watch carefully after 280 to prevent it from burning. once it has reached 290 degrees, remove from heat.
3) pour candy evenly on top of almonds in cookie sheet, let stand for a few minutes.
4) melt choc chips in microwave with 1 t. oil to help keep it smooth. Pour over candy mixture, allow to set for a few hours, you can place in fridge if you want to go faster, once set up, break into pieces. makes about 2 lbs, fun to tie as Christmas gifts.
