3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp orange juice
1/2 tsp orange rind
1 tsp water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, orange juice and water in medium size heavy saucepan.

Heat, stirring constantly, just until sugar dissolves, then cook rapidly, without stirring, (to 326 degrees on a candy thermometer). A teaspoonful will form ball when dropped in a cold glass of water. Remove from heat at once.

Stir in salt, orange rind and pumpkin pie spice, then add nuts tossing lightly to coat evenly.

Spoon onto waxed paper or foil; separate nuts while soft with two forks. Let stand until coating is firm..

Store in a tightly covered container. These nibbles are such good keepers that you can make them several weeks ahead. Makes about one-half pound.
