1 Liter Sprite/7-Up/Ginger Ale
Crushed Garlic
Bamboo Skewers

Directions:
Slice round steak into thin (1/4") strips, approx. 2-3" long. Place in ziplock bag or tight sealing tupperware container with bottle of soy sauce, bottle of soda, and approx. 1 Tbsp. of crushed garlic. Let marinade for 4-6 hours.

Soak bamboo skewers for at least an hour prior to putting meat on. (This keeps the fire from burning through the wood...mostly...lol)

Cook on grill or fire pit until done, approx. 10-15 minutes. Meat should be tender. Do not overcook!

Serve over rice.

This is very good! Love the flavor you get from the marinade! Not sure why it's called Monkey Meat, but got the recipe from when we lived in the Philippines.
