4 Sticks Unsalted Butter
3 Cups Sugar
5 Large Eggs
3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Strong Black Coffee
1 Tbsp. Vanilla

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan or two 9x5x2 inch loaf pans and set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat butter on medium speed until creamy. Slowly add sugar and continue mixing until light and fluffy. Gradually add eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Combine milk and coffee in another bowl. Slowly add flour mixture to egg and butter mixture, alternating with the milk and coffee mixture. Mix only until flour is blended. Add vanilla. Pour into pan(s) and bake for approximately 1-1/2 hours. Insert a wooden toothpick to test for doneness. You may need to cook for a few more minutes. Let cool in pan(s) for 20 minutes before removing.
