Directions:
Tuna salad is one of those things you can make a million different ways. Lately, my favorite is an open faced tuna melt. I’ve listed some of my go to ingredients but in reality my tuna normally turns into a combination of whatever I have in the fridge.
Drain the tuna and toss it in a bowl. Then mix in a couple spoonfuls of your “wet” ingredient. I like Greek yogurt since it has the flavor but is a lot healthier, mayo and ranch dressing are good as well, relish and mustard is another healthier combo, or even one I had Tzatziki in the fridge and it was great.
Add some seasoning, at the very least salt, pepper and garlic. I also love adding Paprika.
Dice up some vegetables to throw in, while not necessary it makes it much better. My favorite two are red onion and bell peppers.
Slice up some avocado, tomato and cheese. Take a slice of bread and spread across as much tuna as you’d like. Then pile avocados and tomatoes on the tuna. Top it off with the cheese.
Throw it in the toaster over, or oven, and cook it on a medium/high toasting level, or in the oven use a broiler but check it every couple minutes. Wait for the toast to crisp up and the cheese to melt.
