CAKE:
1 box yellow cake mix (without pudding)
1 box (3.4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c. Irish whiskey
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
GLAZE:
4 T. butter or margarine
1/8 c. water
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. Irish whiskey
1 T. powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. CAKE: Grease and flour a 10 in. tube or 12 in. Bundt cake pan. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding, whiskey, water, oil, eggs, and nuts. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 60 minutes. Set on rack to cool. Invert on serving plate. Prick top immediately. Drizzle and brush half the glaze evenly over the top and sides. After cake has cooled, reheat remaining glaze and brush evenly over the cake. Sift 1 T. powdered sugar over the cake just before serving.
GLAZE: Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 3 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before adding the whiskey.

Nota bene! One bottle of Irish whiskey will make 4 cakes unless you are drinking from the bottle during production phase.
