1 pound Libby's canned pumpkin (2 cups)
4 eggs
1 cup oil
1/3 cup water
3 1/2 cup flour
3 cups white sugar
1 Tablespoon pumpkin pie mix (or a combination of cinnamon & ground nutmeg)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions:

Combine pumpkin, eggs, oil and water.
Sift together dry ingredients, add combined pumpkin mix.
Pour into two 9 x 5 inch buttered pans (mom used coffee cans.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes.

Serve warm.
