One 9 oz container of whipped cream (e.g., Cool Whip)
1 box instant pistachio pudding
1 large can crushed pineapple (not drained)
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
5 maraschino cherries, halved
1/2 cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix pistachio pudding and crushed pineapple. Fold in whipped cream, coconut and marshmallows. Spread in a pyrex dish. Top with cherry halves and sprinkle with coconut. Refrigerate.

My Mother, Betty Rose Zillweger Jones, would make this when I was growing up and between me, brother Bill, and Dad, a batch wouldn't last long. It is versatile in that it can be a salad to accompany the meal or a dessert. We never could remember the name Pistachio Pudding Salad so we just called it "Green Stuff." My kids loved it (as you can imagine with all that sugar!) and Green Stuff became a tradition at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners along with the green bean casserole.
