2 cups sugar
1/2 lb. butter (at room temperature)
4 large eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 pint full fat sour cream
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Filling--combine:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tsp. cinnamon

Grease and flour a 10" tube pan. Preheat oven to 350

Mix baking soda and sour cream together, set aside.

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in sour cream mixture. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Add vanilla.

Pour about half the batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with about half the filling mixture. Add remaining batter, then top with remaining filling mixture.

Bake for 45-60 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan about 10 minutes. Turn out on a cooling rack until completely cooled.
