1 can mushroom soup
¼ c water
2 c chow mien noodles, divided
1 can tuna, drained
1 c sliced celery
¼ c chopped onion
dash pepper
½ c salted toasted cashews (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine soup and water in greased 10x6x1.5" baking dish or loaf pan. Reserve 1 cup noodles. Add remaining ingredients and combine. Top with remaining 1 cup noodles. Bake 15 minutes at 375º.

Jeanne Clayton and I grew up around the corner from each other. Our fathers were roommates together at Ohio State. In 1972, when she was newly married, she used to serve this to her husband and to me when I hung around. It's super easy and my favorite tuna casserole by far.
