2/3 cup white sugar
dash of salt
2/3 cup light Karo syrup
1/3 cup dark Karo syrup
1/3 cup butter/margarine- melted
1 to 1 1/2 cup pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the first five ingredients together (thoroughly.) Then add pecan halves. Pour into a 9-inch pastry (pie) shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes, until a knife inserted halfway between the center and the edge comes out clean. Serve warm.

This is as close to Grandmommy's recipe as I have gotten. Tastes like I remember her pecan pies! I have used this recipe for almost 35 years now at Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year I made the recipe for the church dessert auction and someone paid $100.00 for the pie.
