1/2 C. Chopped Pecans
1 C. Softened butter (2 sticks)
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 C. chopped pecans
1 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 1/4 C. flour, sifted
3/4 C. drained, chopped maraschino cherries
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Glaze:
1 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar
2 Tbs. Milk

Pre-Heat Oven to 325. Grease a bundt pan with butter and sprinkle with the finely chopped pecans.

Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla until well blended. Add eggs one at a time.

Sift together 2 cups of flour and baking powder and mix into the batter. Toss remaining 1/4 C. of flour with the cherries and chopped pecans. Fold into the batter. Pour into the prepared pan.

Bake @ 325 for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes and then remove from pan and cool completely on a rack.

Mix glaze ingredients together and pour over the cake when cool. Decorate with additional whole pecans and cherries if desired.
