4 cups chicken broth or 4 cups water and 2 tbsp. chicken soup base
1 - 28 oz. can diced or stewed tomatoes
3 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
1 large carrot sliced
1 large potato peeled & diced
1 medium onion chopped
1 bay leaf
Salt & pepper (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and bring to boil in large pot.
Reduced heat, cover, and simmer for 50 - 60 minutes until vegetables are cooked.
You can add diced chicken if desired.
If using raw chicken add it at the start or if leftover chicken add about 30 minutes after starting to simmer.
