Ingredients: 3 - 4 cups shredded cabbage 1 lb. ground beef 1 medium sweet onion chopped 1/4 cup long grained white rice uncooked salt & pepper
Sauce: 1 can tomato soup 1 can water 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. lemon juice A good sprinkle of chili powder (optional)

Directions: |
Directions:Grease casserole and put shredded cabbage in bottom. Brown ground beef with finely chopped onion. Mix in rice and salt & pepper. You can also add a little garlic or seasoning salt instead of the first salt. Spread on top of cabbage. Mix sauce together and pour evenly over top. Cover casserole and bake at 300 º F for 1 1/2 - 2 hours until cabbage is tender and the rice is cooked. If too juicy remove the lid for the last of baking time. |

Notes: Leftovers can be easily warmed in microwave or non stick frying pan. If you use brown rice to increase fiber it may take longer to cook and need a little extra liquid. Can substitute tomato sauce or marinara sauce for the tomato soup.
