1 lb. lump crab meat
4 oz. Crisco oil
4 oz. red wine vinegar
4 oz. ice water
1/2 lb. minced onion

Directions:
Directions:
Layer in bowl which can be covered: 1/4 of the crab meat and 1/4 of the onion, Repeat until all is used. Pour vinegar, oil, and ice water over the mixture. Seal bowl and let marinate in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight. Mix well. Salt and Pepper to taste before serving over lettuce or pile high on saltines.
