"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 heads of broccoli
1 purple onion
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated. I use extra sharp and sharp
10-12 slices bacon, fried crisp or microwaved
3/4 cup of mayo
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup of cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Chop broccoli into little pieces. (I like it all to be about the same size.) I don't use much of the stem either. Dice purple onion. In a large bowl, mix broccoli, onion, and cheese. In a smaller bowl, mix mayo, sugar, and vinegar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Miss Crystal , you might have to adjust the quanties. You want the dressing mix to be sweet but not sickening sweet. Also, you want the consistency to be more on the creamy side than on the runny side. Crumble half the bacon and add to the broccoli along with the dressing. Mix and place in glass bowl, cover and refrigerate a couple of hours. Stir right before serving and add the remaining crumbled bacon to the top.

I hope ya'll enjoy it.
