1 med. shredded cabbage
1 tbsp. salt
2 grated carrots
1 chopped green pepper
1 1/2 c. sugar
1. c. white vinegar
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cabbage and salt. Let stand for 1 hr. Squeeze out the excess water.

Add carrots and green pepper. While cabbage is standing, mix vinegar, sugar and 1/2 c. water, mustard seed and celery seed.

Boil 3 minutes and let cool until lukewarm.

Pour over cabbage. Put in freezer container and freeze.

Heat until hot.....very good veggie plate!

This recipe came from my Aunt Mary, your grandpa's sister. She kept all the old Polish recipes that I grew up enjoying.
