8 c tomato peeled, seeded and cut into small chunks
4-1/2 c sugar

Directions:
Put tomatoes in a good sized kettle, Add sugar. Place on low heat until sugar dissolves. Then bring to a boil. Turn down heat and boil until thick. [more than an hour] probably 1 1/2 - 2 hours It becomes like syrup. When it gets thicker, it will stick to the bottom of the kettle. Remove from heat, allowing it to cool as you place in jars and seal.

Tips
-from Gary 8/13.- It takes about 2 medium tomatoes to make a cup. he idea is not to make it seedless, only to reduce the fluids, this will reduce the seeds but there should still be seeds in the preserves. I didn't boil quite long enough and it was a bit runny and it made 7 jars.
-Boyhood recipe. It was never my favorite as a boy, but I grew to like it as I got older. It is something just a bit different. - Gary 7/21/2013
