3 lbs beef chuck roast
3 8-ounce pkg dry Italian salad dress mix [ Good Seasons]
1 can (16 oz) beef broth or stock
1 12 oz yellow Italian pepper Rings
8 hard rolls [or even hamburger buns]

Trim fat from roast

Slow Cooker Method: Place roast in a slow cooker and season with Italian dressing mix. Pour in the broth. Cover and cook for 6-7 hours. During the last hour shred the meat using 2 forks, add the peppers and as much of the pepper juice as you like for additional flavor

Stove Top Method: Cut beef into cubes about 1+" x 1+" Brown on all sides in a large pot. After browning, add beef broth & salad dressing mix. Stir to combine. Simmer for 2 1/2-3 hours or until tender. Using 2 forks, shred meat Add the peppers and continue boiling to reduce stock to a gravy like consistency

Serve on toasted buns Best on good quality buns, we like bakery or bake in oven

For a real change, add 1 package brown gravy mix + water of necessary. Slice, chop or shred the roast like you wish and cover it with the gravy. It will be ready to serve on noodles, mashed potatoes, rice or toast or whatever
