1 loaf thin-sliced bread, trimmed
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, chopped
1/2 c butter
3 T flour
1 c light cream
3/4 t salt
1/4 t MSG
2 t chives
1 t lemon juice
Butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Roll bread slices thin and flat. Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 mins. Stir in flour until well blended. Stir in cream; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in salt, MSG, chives, and lemon juice. Remove from heat. Cool. Place 1-2 teaspoons of mixture on each slice of bread; butter the top side of each. Freeze.

When ready to serve, cut in half or 1/3. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 400º for 10 mins or until light brown.

(1-1/2 recipe = 12 oz mushrooms, 2.5# bread = 40 slices, rolled)
