2 eggs
2 cups molasses
3 cups self-rising flour

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8" X 10" pan or two 4" X 9" loaf pans.

Warm butter enough to melt it but don't let it get hot. Mix the melted butter with the eggs and molasses. Add flour, gradually, and beat into a smooth batter. Pour into prepared pan of choice. Bake at 325 degrees approximately 30 minutes, being careful not to over bake!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When we were little Jesse, Hamp, Shirley, Arlies and I use to love this cake, hot out of the oven, with a glass of ice cold milk. It was especially good when we came in from school, half starved (we thought!) and mother would have this cooked for us. As we got older, I cooked it a lot and it was almost as good as Mother's!
