1 tsp Crisco
1/2 small onion, diced
2 large carrots, sliced
2 stalks of celery, sliced
2 chicken bullion cubes
1 tbsp paprika
salt/pepper/smidge garlic powder
1 box of frozen lima beans
small container of heavy cream
2 egg batch of spätzle (knuckles)/ or serve with potato pancakes
(doubles well)

Directions:
In large stock pot, melt Crisco and sauté onion diced until clear. Add water (2 c), carrots, celery, and seasoning, cover and simmer 15 min.

After the carrots/celery simmer for 15 min, add frozen BABY lima beans (If it's a single batch, small box, if it's doubled (or even tripled) I use approx. 3/4 of a small bag.

Simmer 15 more min. until the lima beans are just tender; add the spätzle and simmer 5-10 more min. until veg's tender.

Turn heat down and add cream stirring constantly until steaming hot. DO NOT BOIL.
