2 T butter
1/4 onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1 t chili powder
2 1/2 T brown sugar
3 T smoky paprika
2 C tomato juice
1/4 C distilled white vinegar
2 T worcestershire sauce
1/2 t powdered mustard mixed in 1 T water
1/2 t adobo sauce
2 T dark molasses
1 1/2 t course salt
1/2 t black pepper
1 lemon wedge for juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix garlic, chili powder, brown sugar and paprika and set aside. Saute onion in butter until softened. Add garlic, chili powder, brown sugar and paprika. Stir until mixed and fragrant.
Add tomato juice, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, mustard, adobo, molasses and salt. Cook on high heat until simmering. Reduce heat and continue to simmer, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes until sauce is thickened. During the last few minutes stir in black pepper and lemon juice from lemon wedge.
