3 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup butter or marg.
1 2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cup mashed bananas (4)
2 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Beat together eggs, sugar, and butter. Add bananas and blend well. Add rest of ingredients and blend until smooth.

Place in greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes. Makes 2 small loaves plus 6 cupcakes. Cool in pans.

My mom got this recipe from the school nurse when I was in elementary school. It's my favorite banana bread.
