1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
dash of salt
1 cup light corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large pot, add brown sugar and salt, mix well. Add corn syrup and stir, and condensed milk and stir. Cook over medium high heat until firm ball state, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add vanilla and stir. Pour into greased 9x13 pan and cool for 4 hours.

Using a high quality pan and gas stove will allow for more even cooking and reduce the chance of burning the caramel. Firm ball stage is about 245 degrees.
