2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 cup lukewarm water
6 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 cups scalded milk
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup raisins
1 cup currants
1/2 cup blanched almonds
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast with warm water and let stand. Mix other ingredients, add yeast mixture and knead together. Let rise on warm place. Knead again and let rise again. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Toothpick comes out clean.
