1 28 oz. can diced or whole tomatoes
2-3 jalapeņos, veins and seeds removed (may leave some for extra heat)
2-3 good sized cloves of garlic
1 bunch of cilantro, leaves removed from stems and washed
juice of 1 large lime or 2-3 key limes
salt to taste, depends on if you are using salted or unsalted tomatoes
cumin to taste, start with 1/2 tsp. or less and add more if needed

Place all ingredients in blender and pulse until you reach desired consistency.

Cumin has a distinct flavor, so start out with just 1/2 tsp. or less and add a small amount at a time until you reach the perfect flavor.
