1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 cup pecans
1 recipe plain pastry

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add syrup and salt. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add pecans.

Pour into 9 inch pastry lined pie pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

This is the easiest pie in the world to make. Can you believe Mother NEVER baked one? And she was the best cook ever! I only add it to the recipe book in the hope that one day our grandchildren might bake one for us!!
