Ingredients:
12 egg yolks
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons sour cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1 ounce rum or brandy
4 cups flour
Powdered sugar
Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs with sugar until lemon coloured. Add liquor and sifted flour gradually. Knead on board for 30 minutes or use a stand mixer. Divide into three parts. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.

Roll out one at a time into a thin pastry (such as for pasta). Cut into 3 inch squares; make three gashes nearly to the ends. Put one end through centre gash to make a butterfly effect.

Fry in hot oil until light brown. Drain on absorbent paper and dust with powdered sugar.
