1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tspn cinnamon
6 apples (Macintosh preferably)

TOPPING:
2/3 cups flour
2/3 cups sugar
1/4 tspn baking powder
1/8 tspn salt

1 egg
3 Tbspns melted butter
1 tspn vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Core and pare 6 apples.
Combine sugar and cinnamon in bowl.
Roll apples in sugar and cinnamon mixture.

In a separate bowl:
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

In another bowl:
Mix together egg, butter and vanilla

Add egg mixture to flour mixture.
Beat well.
Place 2 Tbspns of batter over each apple.

Bake at 375º
45 minutes
