2-1/2 cups sugar, divided
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 bags of frozen cherries
Teaspoon almond extract








Directions:
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, milk and oil; pour into greased

2. Shallow 3 quart baking dish. In a bowl, combine cherries, extract and remaining sugar spoon over the batter.

3. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick or cake tester comes out clean.

Serve warm with fresh whipped cream or Ice Cream.
