French Silk Pie Recipe

1 baked pie crust
Filling:
1 ½ sticks butter (soft)
1 cup sugar
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate (melted and cooled)
1 ½ teaspoons almond extract
Mix together the first 2 ingredients until creamy and fluffy
Then add melted chocolate and almond extract
THEN one at a time add 3 eggs, mix 1 egg at a time, mix on high speed for 5 minutes
After adding each egg
Pour into pie shell and cool for 4 hours or overnight
Add fresh whipped cream and chocolate curls and a dusting of cocoa before serving

Tip: Never insult this pie by adding cool whip use only fresh whipped cream
Note: years ago I worked on this recipe trying to get it just right, and I'm pretty sure I did.
This pie gets rave reviews always. and is the first one to disappear.
