4 potatoes peeled and diced
1 small onion diced
4 pieces of bacon cooked, drained and broken into pieces
1 pint half and half
2 Tablespoons corn starch or flour


Boil potatoes with the onions in a large pot,
fill pot with water just enough to cover the potatoes.
Can of peas or green beans.
When potatoes are fork tender, pour out ¼ of the water and put back on the stove.
Mix 2 tablespoons of corn starch or flour into half of the half and half (1 cup)
And mix well. Add about ¼ cup of the potato water to this
Mix well and then add to the pot of potatoes, adding the rest of the half and half.

Darda made this a lot while we were growing up, when I was sick she would make this for me as well.
When Bunta had his accident and was not working we survived on meals like this, doubling this recipe goes along way
