Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box of either shell or elbow macaroni (I like shell)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese (my mother preferred American)
32 oz milk (can be 2%); ½ cup sifted flour
1 lb of butter (if you're timid cut by ¼)
1-2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ cup breadcrumbs,1tsp paprika, salt & pepper (to taste)
1 tomato, sliced (optional), 1 tsp onion powder (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Prep sauce first. In a two quart saucepan melt ¼ cup of butter then gradually whisk flour while pan is over heat. Heat should be medium high and you need to stir constantly. Slowly add milk and cheese until smooth consistency is obtained. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and other seasoning. Turn heat down to simmering. Prepare pasta, drain (don't rinse). Grease deep baking dish. Pour a quarter of the sauce into deep dish. Layer pasta into mix and cover with sauce. Stir to ensure pasta is thoroughly covered. Garnish with breadcrumbs and slices of tomato (optional). If you don't use these as a topping, sprinkle paprika over top.

Personal Notes:
Worcestershire sauce makes this dish. Can be a main course or side dish. If you want to, and don't like Gruyere, use mild American cheese.
