"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
One of our favorite Swiss Christmas cookie recipes! Pronounced "dush ess li". Suggest 1 1/2 times this recipe.

Every oven is different so your oven temperature and/or time may need to be adjusted. If the batter becomes thick, you can also microwave the batter for 15 seconds. The butter as it cools congeals and makes the batter thick and more difficult to work with. By microwaving it, the batter will spread more easily. I found that I didn't even need to shake the baking sheet.
