1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Topping:
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1 can angel flake coconut
1 cup broken pecans
1/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water over quick oats and let stand. Cream together the butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla.

Sift flour, soda, salt & cinnamon. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix well. Add oat mixture and beat well.

Bake in greased sheet cake pan at 335 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

Mix together the butter, sugar, egg yolks, milk, coconut and pecans. Spread over cake and return to oven. Let it brown slowly at 325 degrees until lightly brown.
